Rating. All have been rated by an official organisation to an agreed standard. We have included only those rated at 4 to 5 Diamond which also have, in our view, the atmosphere and character matching the history and culture of Wessex.

Grouping. The guesthouses have been grouped as in the map below: ie. Bath; Devizes; Dorchester; Salisbury; Sherborne; Taunton and Winchester
