Possibly the longest running hotel in the Country
Built nearly eight hundred ago to house the draughtsmen working on the nearby cathedral, this historic hotel with its world famous creeper-clad courtyard (a haven of peace in the city centre) has been in the ownership of the Maidment family for nearly 100 years and continues to welcome guests from near and far.
During recent timews many modern facilites have been incorporated within the frame work of the tradsitional style and anbience of the original buildikng, which to this day houses the Recoeption, Victoria Lounge, '1220' BAr anad some of the delightful individually decorated bedrooms.
Situated in the centre of the South of England, Salisbury is the ideal place from wihich to visit many historic and interesting places, including Stonehenge, the New Forest, Wilton House, Salisbury Racecourse, Longleat , Stourhead and, of course, Salisbury itself. The
city contains many medieval buildings, the Market Square and the beautiful Cathedral, surrounded by its magnificent Close within which are two museums, Mompesson House and many other attractive buildings.

The Vine Restaurant This restaurant is renowned for its traditional English cooking and Continental cuisine. With the charm of the original building and a light and spacious atmosphere, The Vine is the ideal venue for Sunday lunch, lunch parties and evening dinner.
The Victoria Lounge. Coffees, light lunches and tea are available in the Victoria Lounge and at midday and throughout the evening the hotel bar offers a place to relax.

By Car. from A303 take A30 10 miles south. Follow all routes to Salisbury city centre. Milford Street is just off the Maarket Square and is 'one way' to the east for cars.
Car Parking. There is short-term parking outside the front of the hotel, and long term parking at the back. The Hotel can offer parking to guests who are disabled permit holders.
By Train. Frequent trains run to Salisbury Station from London (Waterloo), Bristol and Exeter. Take a short 1 mile taxi ride to the hotel. |

Each bedroom is individually decoratedto offer charm and character. Rooms suitable for the inform or partially disabled guests are available on request. All rooms have remote controlled colour television, radio. direct dial telephone, hair dryer and tea/coffee making facilities. Executive rooms have 4ft wide beds, well lit writing desks with a telephone point and all the usual facilities.
