This inventory has been selected with the expectations of the visitor who is interested in heritage in mind. Two main criteria used were:

• All have been quality rated by an official organisation at an agreed standard.

Destination Wessex is marketing:

• 3, 4 and 5 star hotels (country house hotels, historic inns and pubs).
• 4 and 5 diamond Bed & Breakfasts (B&Bs) and guest houses.
• 4 and 5 star country cottages.
